John F Kennedy large hand addressed envelope and vintage photograph
Kennedy, John F. (1917-1963) – large hand addressed envelope and vintage photograph
35. President of the United States.
Hand addressed envelope “Mrs. Jean Thompson, 59 East 72nd Street, New York City New York.” Large brown House of Representatives envelope, 11.75 x 9.5 inch, PRINTED free frank signature in the upper right corner. Postmarked Boston Mass. May 1952. Addressed in JFK’s hand in dark black ink. Accompanied by the original photo that JFK has sent in this envelope. An UNSIGNED black and white photograph, 8.0 x 10.0 inch. Very unusual autograph, because Kennedy’s secretaries nearly always handled his mail. About a Mrs. Thompson, unfortunately, nothing is known, but she must have been important for Kennedy when he personally send her a photo. Envelope was opened at the right edge, photo has handling wear and some creases, else good condition.
Comes together with my book “John F. Kennedy – autograph study” – about 90 pages with hundreds of signatures (authentic, secretary, Autopen, stamps, facsimile etc.).
